GBP competitor category comparison CSV
After you compare your Google Business Profile categories with up to five competitors, MapGap exports the missing ones as a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
CSV columns
The export is a file named mapgap-missing-categories.csv with one row per missing category and these columns:
category: the competitor category you don't list, as typed.
competitors_using: how many of the competitors you entered list it.
found_on_competitors: those competitors' names, separated by semicolons.
competitor_primary_for: competitors that use it as their primary category, if any.
Rows are in the same order as the app: most competitors first, then competitor-primary categories, then A–Z. Values with commas or quotes are escaped so the file opens cleanly in Excel or Google Sheets.
What isn't in the file
- No review counts or velocity numbers. The review-velocity target and reply templates are shown in the app, not exported.
- No categories you already have, and no categories that none of your competitors list.
- No data MapGap fetched. Everything in the file comes from what you pasted.
Steps
- Open the MapGap app and paste your categories and up to five competitors' categories from their Google Business Profiles.
- Run the free preview. It shows how many categories you're missing and the top 2.
- If the gaps look worth having, buy MapGap for $9.99 one-time on Whop, sign in with Whop, and download the CSV.
- Review each category before you add it to your profile. MapGap doesn't edit listings.
FAQ
- Is the CSV in the free preview?
- No. The CSV download unlocks after purchase. The preview shows the counts and the top 2 rows.
- Does it pull competitor categories for me?
- No. It's paste-in only, with no Maps or Places API calls and no scraping.
